2024 SCG40 Remake Postpone, Reconfirm the Upgrade Direction
We've heard many feedbacks about our current 2.33 meter Savage Bobber, among which unexpected tail spin at low speed was the most common problem.
In the 2024 version test flight, we tried to enter tail spin on purpose many times to test its limits. And without any surprise, we crashed the plane.
The 2024 version modification was generally unsuccessful. In order to pursue realism, the takeoff weight increased by 0.8kg to 8.8kg, which affected the flight effect.
We decided to abandon the optimization of this version and reconfirm the optimization direction.
The main optimization direction of the 2025 Bobber will be weight reduction: we expect to reduce the dry weight by 1.0kg, by utilizing more carbon materials, change the structure of the fuselage, and make the take-off weight below 7.5kg to obtain better flight performance.
